LexLin’s Gypsy Ranch, located in Rockwood, TN, is dedicated to breeding quality purebred Gypsy Vanner horses and through  Gypsy Gift, they are connected with Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies (EAAT) programs that enrich the lives of the developmentally disabled, sick, injured and troubled. These programs are geared toward people of all ages with physical, mental and emotional needs as well as veterans with disabilities and those suffering from post-traumatic stress disorder. This July marks a milestone with 65 horses horse donated through the Gypsy Gift program.

The Lex Lin Gypsy Gift Program enables nonprofit Equine Assisted Activities and Therapies, Hippotherapy and other related therapy participants to benefit from the wonderful traits the Gypsy breed has to offer. From 2014 – 2017 LexLin Gypsy Ranch’s mission is to donate 50 registered Gypsy Horses (total donation valued in excess of $700,000) to the Gypsy Gift™ program while simultaneously finding eligible sponsors who will train them for approved PATH accredited centers. If one center on average, reaches 25 people on a weekly basis, that gives 50 Gypsy Horses a chance to impact lives 51,000 times in one year alone! Imagine how many lives can be touched over 20+ years with 50 horses.

Today at 10 AM, Ivy HIll becomes on of those lucky center winners, as Paris completes the last leg of her journey to the facility on Mill Road. Eagerly waiting are the Horse Care Director, Janna Pitak, along with staff and our riders and participants in summer camp.

Since 1999, Ivy Hill Therapeutic equestrian Center has provided Equine-Assisted Activities and Therapies for children, youth and adults with all form of disability, disadvantage and life challenge. Our mission is to create therapeutic programs for individuals with cognitive, physical, emotional, behavioral and psychological needs utilizing the equine experience.
